This is an antique French brass frame with an oval-shaped opening. The decoration on the front of the frame includes laurel leaves along the sides and in the cartouche at the top, as well as stylized feet with a decorated easel back. 

The frame measures 9.25"H x 6.25"W x 4"D (when standing up). Surface wear and patination are present. Glass included. The glass is chipped in a few places along the edges, and there is one visible blemish in the front. See images for full details.
